Things to do During Quarantine (for Older Kids)

  • build with cardboard (recommended)
  • learn to code
  • sew masks
  • run in the backyard aimlessly for less than a minute (did that; it's actually fun!)
  • write a book (also fun)
  • draw, even if it is horrible
  • ruin your Mom's kitchen with your amazing cooking skills
  • read books (I did adventure and violence)
  • study a bit (so that you don't fail miserably when quarantine ends)
  • go through old stuff and get spare parts for your projects (check with parents!)
  • annoy your sibling(s) as much as you can without getting into trouble
  • sit at the computer and use an educational game so that your parents won't kick you off the computer with the enforcement of the despicable law of screen time
Well, there you have it! I did all that was in the list except drawing (does doing that on the computer count?) and the ruining Mom's kitchen idea. Good luck with bearing the scolding and the yelling with that idea!
