How to make a Shield
Shields are the best in combat (especially if your little sister is throwing paper ninja stars at you!) It will defend you. I've made two types of shields, but the simple one was more successful than the one with the hidden crossbow. (I might get into that later. For now, forget it.)
So the first thing you will need, is, of course, cardboard. Get one sheet about the size of your forearm minimum (My biggest was about the size of my torso.) Cut it into a rectangular shape, which is the best and most protective one, better than a circle.
If you want to, paint it now. (Aluminum foil doesn't really work for this. I tried.)
So now you should have a nice rectangular shape.
Cut strips of cardboard and glue it to the back, one for the forearm and another to grip with your hand for better balance. Mark the spots with a pencil and glue the strips with hot glue. The best way to do this is to make the strips look slightly like a Greek omega. (Sorry. Percy Jackson fan.)
Now you can defend yourself from your Roman-soldier-ninja-have-no-mercy sibling!
Congrats good job
